Each chapter of the book is formatted to make the reading experience easy to follow, with a consistent pattern.
Design
Scripture Base
The SCRIPTURE BASE is the listed bible chapter and verse the SPUR uses to support the content. It is located up front to allow the reader to become familiar with where the SPUR might be headed.
Concepts and Purpose
These two sections are written to inform the reader of what and why the SPUR was written. They also help the reader decide if this SPUR is what they want to read and study.
Background and Spur
BACKGROUND, provides additional content that provides a perspective from my personal experience or the global experiences of the target audience. The SPUR is the main content section of the chapter.
Prayer and Inspiration
I PRAY each SPUR benefits and blesses the reader and others who may hear about the content when it's used. The Inspiration is added to give credit to who and what inspired me to write.
PREACHER SPURS SCRIPTURE
Peacher Spurs uses the American Standard Version (ASV) translation for the majority of the book. However, there are several quotes from other versions, i.e., the NIV, NKJV, ESV, and others, where noted.
